R & D

We have been using innovative solutions like mouse hybridoma technology to produce monoclonal antibodies. Custom monoclonal antibodies can be developed against the provided antigens. To ensure customer satisfaction, our experienced scientists will discuss every step of the process with you in detail.

Process Outline

Immunization:

First, mice were immunized with customer-specified antigens. In order to improve the overall success rate, we can assist customers to purify antibodies. Higher purity generally increases the overall success in producing useful antibodies.

After receiving your request and determining the nature of the antigen, our senior scientists will determine the details of the immunization process. The process details will then be reported to you for approval (some antigens may require coupling). Specificity antibodies in mouse serum will be checked regularly using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), Western Blotting or a specific test system. We will provide serum for you to check before moving on to the next step: cell fusion.

Cell fusion and screening (clone selection):

Once you approve the serum, the mouse spleen cells will be fused with myeloma cells. The clones will be screened using ELISA. Clones with positive ELISA results will be cultured. You will determine the number of clones to be saved/cultured based on the number of monoclonal antibodies needed. If necessary, the hybridoma supernatant will be provided to you for further testing.

Cloning:

Once the antibody activity and monoclonality are ensured, cells will be injected into mice to produce ascites. The ascites will then be collected and frozen. If necessary, we can provide samples for you to check.

Antibody production:

Once the antibody activity and monoclonality are ensured, cells will be injected into mice to produce ascites. The ascites will then be collected and frozen. If necessary, we can provide samples for you to check.

Antibody purification:

Once the ascites collection is completed, our researchers will determine the most favorable purification method to ensure the optimal combination of high purity and activity. A report on the proposed purification strategy and any relevant issues that may arise will be provided to you. After approval, technicians will move on to the purification stage.
